Bonnie was created using the Joshua reborn kit by Reva Schick. She has 3/4
arms, full bent legs and is 20" long. I weighted her with tiny glass
beads and high quality fiberfil to a very comfortable 4lbs. 13oz. She
curls up in your arms so sweetly and you need to support her head as you
would a real newborn.
I painted Bonnie with multiiple thin layers of genesis heat set
paints that are meant to last without fading or chipping. She was given
realistic mottling, veining and coloring that looks so realistic and
beautiful! She even has a tiny raised scratch on her forehead :) Her
paint was sealed with a matte varnish to reduce shine and protect the
paint, but still has a very soft texture.
Miss. Bonnie was given a new baby manicure where her nails look very
natural and translucent. She was given a natural lip color that suits
her beautifully. Her nails and lips were slightly glossed...not
overdone, but just right!
Her hair was rooted 1-2 hairs per follicle using Delta Dawn mohair. I
rooted her very fine for that newborn look. I sealed the hair from the
inside so that her hair can be gently combed and styled.
She was given a magnet in her mouth and in her head to provide different looks and styles.
Her layette includes a beautiful box opening of:
1 handmade blanket sewn and designed by me
Magnetic flower hair bow
3 piece newborn size Carters outfit
Magnetic plaid hair bow
Carter's newborn size bunny sleeper
Pink bow elastic headband
Magnetic pacifier
Baby socks
Handprint butterfly 0-3 mth onesie designed by Luc and Lou
(handprints are of a real preemie and proceeds of this onesie went to
help preemies in the NICU)
Extra diaper
