When I first started collecting reborns, I like most people bought Ashton Drake dolls. Unfortunately, I didn't keep them long because the actual dolls don't look as good as the pictures they advertise with. I always look at these dolls and see the awesome possibilities! I began to pick up preloved ashton drake dolls and added my artistic touch! These are much harder to reborn, because prepping them takes a lot if time, but the results are worth it!!
Here is my version of Sophia by Linda Murray. The only thing original left of her is the head and attached tummy plate. Boy is she sweet!!

Adopted!! Classic Emily...Ashton Drake..semi cuddle baby
Emily sculpted by Linda Webb for Ashton Drake Galleries is a classic sculpt and has been reborn by other artists before me, but now it's my turn! I personally prefer 3/4 or full limbs and had thought about giving her different limbs. I came to the decision to simply restore her and enhance her even more than what she was originally. She will get a new doe suede body that will fit her 1/4 limbs and will have armature to assist in her posing.
I plan on rooting her, realizing that i may go through an entire jar of needles from the thickness of vinyl on her head, but it will be worth it in the end!

In addition to Emily, I have acquired other Ashton Drake dolls that need TLC and will be blogging those works in progress as they transpire.
