I had it in mind to make a Hispanic skintone and knew it would be a challenge, but I was totally up for it.
I think the hardest part of painting darker skintones is the shading. Without it, even with mottling layers can look monotone. So I really studied pictures of Hispanic newborns online and applied thin layer after thin layer to create the undertones and shading needed to bring this little guy to life!
Once I had the skintone right, it was time to tackle the hairline and brows.
Phew! The painting was done, I added matte to protect all that had been painted and reduce shine...now onto rooting and blending!
