Ashton Drake Lil Blake gets a new saddle!

 I haven't posted a blog in a while!  I have been busy with YouTube and other social media!  My latest project outside reborning has been designing and sewing a saddle blanket for my lil Blake here!  

On Sunday, June 13th, I will be releasing a video on how I re made this doll babies sweet saddle blanket.  So be sure to check that out!  If you have already seen that video, then below are pictures of the patterns I drew bases on Ashton Drake photos!  

I tried to scan the pattern pieces and they are too large, so hopefully the measurements will give you an idea of the overall size.  The point is to have fun and be creative!  

The other materials I gathered:

22x22 red bandana

1 1/2 yards of faux leather suede 

Sherpa dog blanket or Sherpa material

1 yard fleece material for back of blanket 

Parchment paper 

Pencil

Adopted Custom Wee Patience by Laura Lee Eagles

Wee Patience is a tiny bit of a thing at only 9 inches long!!  Such a sweet sculpt.  I absolutely love preemie and micro preemie kits!  They are so adorable and such a joy to pose and look at 💗

As a custom, his Mommy wanted a boy and asked for a full head of rooted hair.  This was a challenge, I didn't want to pass up because most if not all of the prototypes of this baby were all painted hair. She also requested that he be painted as a micro preemie the way he was intended due to his tiny size.  

Overall, I'm pleased with the way he turned out and I think his Mommy will be pleased too.

Adopted Teegan by Ping Lau

What a precious sculpt!!  I enjoyed reborning this one so much that I ordered another from Irresistables.com!  Of course they are currently on backorder, but she is worth the wait.

Teegan was so much fun to paint... I knew I wanted a lighter asian skintone for this one and even though she is a whopping 28" of snuggles... she went very fast!  

Once I completed her painted, i got to work on her rooting and used a straight virgin human hair in black... so pretty and soft!! 

         What a sweet baby girl!!  What do you think?!

2020 has just gotten away from me and I'm frantically trying to catch up my blog.  Even though my blog doesn't show it, I have created many babies this year, with one of them being sweet Skya by bountiful baby.

I knew I wanted to create a celtic skintone and I felt that Skya would be perfect!  In case you don't know what celtic skintone entails.. it is a very light caucasian complexion with lots of blue and pink undertones.

Many hours were spent trying to get just the right combination of coloring in just the right spots!

Below you can begin to see those blues and pinks "pop" under the skin.. It's so beautiful, translucent and just what you would expect from a delicate newborn skintone.

Here is Skya with you dog 'Nana' looking over her little lamb!!

I decided to root Skya with a red and blonde mix... gotta love that swirl!

Ready to Adopt!! Kenzie by Sandy Faber..I call her April!!

 Kenzie is an adorable 26" doll (when completed) sculpt by Sandy Faber.  Ms. Fabersculpts the cutest smiling babies of all and this one has been such a joy to bring to life.

 I gave her a Caucasian skin tone with mottling that looks like baby/toddler skin.

 Her sculpt has baby teeth and an open mouth smile with detailed gums and tongue.  I painted taste buds, as well.

 I have created Christmas thed reborns in the past and decided to create a Spring/ Easter baby this year.  I named her April because of this and it's the name that has inspired her creation.

 I painted her eyebrows and gave her a baby manicure that looks very natural.

 Since she represents a 6-9 month old baby, I wanted to give her a two tone hair color and leave it extra fine baby like.

Little ray of sunshine!!
